Brief History

• 8th September 1997 - Jamia started with 75 students
• May 2001 - Jamia achieved full registration from DfES.
• Serving the Islamic and academic needs of the community.
• Students from as far away as Hong Kong, Reunion and U.S.A.
• Jamia caters for 409 students, out of which 156 are residential.
• 140 students are in the process of memorizing the Holy Quran; 269 students are in the process of becoming scholars of Islamic Jurisprudence
