PSHE & Citizenship
Jamia aims for students to develop emotionally and spiritually
throughout their course of study. Jamia takes seriously its
responsibility to nurture the spiritual and emotional development of
all our students. Each student is expected to recognise right from
wrong and develop a unique sense of his place in humanity.
Students develop their spirituality through the
morning provision of the Islamic course. Afternoon assembly is often
led by senior students who practice their oratory skills by
discussing contemporary issues through the light of Islamic
knowledge and understanding.
As indicated in our aims and objectives, students
from Jamia are expected to become model citizens who play and active
and positive role in their communities. Jamia promotes good
citizenship throughout its curricula activities, both in the Islamic
and secular provision. The table on the next page shows how
citizenship is delivered at Jamia.
