Life at Jamiah
A Secure, Structured and Comfortable Place to Learn
Jamiah provides students with all amenities, security and privacy to ensure a comfortable learning environment. We focus on Islamic education, secular education and spirituality, nurturing students to become effective leaders and exemplary citizens.
The day runs from registration at 8:00 am to home time at 7:00 pm, with Madrasah and school lessons sharing the timetable. Boarding students start earlier and finish later, with supper, activities and private study in the evening.

Boarding
Residential Life & Student Support
Everything a boarding student and their family need to know, from where students sleep to how they phone home.
Boarding Area
Year 7 and 8 students share the third floor. Under-18 students have their own dedicated floor, and over-18 students are housed in the separate Huda building.
Boarding Team
A dedicated team of senior staff and boarding assistants are available around the clock to help with any concerns, problems or just a friendly chat.
Phoning Home
Students are not permitted to keep phones during the week. Younger students may bring a simple phone (no internet or camera) which is handed out at supervised times throughout the week. Smart phones are allowed for short periods on weekends only. A free student landline is also available 7 days a week.
Medical Care
All boarding students are registered with a local doctor. Jamiah has a medical room where students can rest if feeling unwell. Staff are informed immediately of any illness.
Laundry Service
Jamiah has its own laundrette — wash and dry for just £2.50. Self-service machines are accessible during break times. Alternatively, take clothes home on visits.
Tuck Shop & Deliveries
The on-site tuck shop stocks drinks, snacks, ice cream and stationery. Parents can also order supermarket deliveries directly to Jamiah.
Home Visits
Students can go home every two weeks (or weekly with prior permission) from Saturday lunchtime, returning Sunday by 9:00 pm. Sign-out procedures apply.
Room Personalisation
Boarders are encouraged to personalise their rooms and boarding areas. Many spaces have been splendidly decorated by the students themselves.
Extra-Curricular
The Week Outside Lessons
Clubs generally run in evenings and weekends, ideal for boarding students. Non-boarding students can also join with availability.

- Grand AnjumanStudents deliver the speeches they have prepared in the Public Speaking club before an audience of staff and students.
